Abstract:
A system for monitoring and controlling an area comprising a controller (35) for controlling system operational functions; at least one remote-control transmitter (25) for transmitting system commands to the controller in a code word having a fixed word and a hopping word therein; the fixed word comprising at least one fixed data bit and the hopping word comprising at least one changing data bit, wherein the hopping word changes its binary value from transmission to transmission of the system commands; and, means for scrambling bits of the fixed word and bits of the hopping word within the code word.
Abstract:
A remotely controllable vehicle system as shown in Fig. 2 for generating a response to an incoming threat to a secured area and/or control of user selectable convenience features, comprising a wireless transmitter (1) having at least one switch (3) for generating and transmitting a signal encoded with a data code word having at least one identification code word; a receiver (19) for receiving the signal; a decoder (23) for decoding the coded data word from the signal; a controller (23) responsive to a command data word embedded in the coded data word only if an identification code word embedded in the data code word is identical to at least one authorized identification code word stored in a memory (21) accessible to the controller; a learn mode as shown in Fig. 3 for programming a new identification code word of a new transmitter in the memory as the authorized identification code word only if multiple groups of the coded data words are transmitted from the transmitter and received by the controller.
Abstract:
A security system for monitoring a protected area and sounding an alarm comprising at least one sensor arranged about a protected area for sensing incoming threat, means for generating at least one pulse for each sensor activated by the incoming threat to the area, an alarm controller for receipt of the pulses and sounding of an alert; and, a single wire (85) connecting outputs of sensors to the controller (35) for transmitting the pulses generated by these sensors to the controller.
Abstract:
An area monitoring and controlling system (29) ensures that the security of commands is maintained by employing "fixed" and "hopping" code words in command transmissions, and that certain functions which are executable from a remote transmitter (25) are assigned as "low security" and are executed in conjunction with a "bypass mode" to bypass the hopping algorithm which is necessary to execute the "high security" functions.
Abstract:
A vehicle convenience system comprising a wireless transmitter (25), having at least one switch therein, for communicating multiple channel commands to an expander (55), said expander (55) responsive to activation of said transmitter (25) and said expander (55) having at least one expander output responsive to said channel commands received from said transmitter (25); said expander outputs being programmable to at least one user selectable mode.
Abstract:
A system operable with a passive anti theft security system having a first coil (21) connected to a passive anti theft controller for transmitting a first signal to a first transponder (41) having a third coil (3) and a first code therein, said first transponder (41) responsive to said signal transmitting said first code to said first coil (21), the system comprising a second transponder (42) having a second code and a fourth coil (4) with two terminal ends wound about said third coil (3) of said second transponder (42); and a relay (13) selectively shorting or opening said terminal ends of said fourth coil (4) to selectively enable and disable said second transponder (42).
