    Abstract: A filter element, for placement in a housing of a filter system, includes a filter medium pack and a seal arrangement having a seal and a seal carrier. The filter medium pack includes, for example, a pleated filter medium or a fluted filter medium. The seal carrier includes an axial side coupled to at least a portion of an axial face of the filter medium pack by a thermal welding manufacturing process. The coupling of the seal to the seal carrier is obtainable by manufacturing the seal arrangement with a multi-material injection molding manufacturing process. The present disclosure further relates to a method for manufacturing a filter element, the method including steps of thermal welding and multi-material injection molding.

    Abstract: The present disclosure relates to a filter element comprising a filter medium pack and a support arrangement comprising at least a shell member, and wherein a portion of the shell member is thermally welded to a circumferential face of the filter medium pack. The present disclosure further relates to a method of manufacturing such a filter element, the method comprising heating at least a portion of the shell member of the support arrangement, positioning the shell member around the circumferential face of the filter medium pack, pushing the heated circumferential portion of the shell member against the circumferential face of the filter medium pack, and allowing the circumferential portion of the shell member to cool down.

    Abstract: The present disclosure is directed towards filter elements whose overall length can be adjusted such that the filter element can be installed through an opening in an air cleaner opening having a relatively smaller dimension than the maximum dimension of the filter element. In one aspect, the filter element (100) can include a radial seal member disposed on a positionable coupling element (131, 132) circumscribing at least a portion of a filter medium pack. The filter element has a first axial length when the positionable coupling element is in an extended position and has a second axial length when the positionable coupling element is in a collapsed position, wherein the first axial length is greater than the second axial length. In some examples, the filter element includes two positionable coupling elements.

    Abstract: The present disclosure relates to a safety filter element for backing up a failure of a main filter element comprising a primary filter medium pack. The safety filter element comprises a secondary filter medium pack and a shell wherein a first portion of an inner side of a circumferential wall of the shell is surrounding a circumferential side of the secondary filter medium pack, and wherein a second portion of the inner side of the circumferential wall of the shell is radially delimiting a cavity located between a first opening of the shell and a fluid inlet side of the secondary filter medium pack. The cavity allows for receiving or at least partly receiving the primary filter medium pack of the main filter element. The safety filter element comprises a first seal member that comprises a first circumferential sealing portion for sealing to the shell and a second circumferential sealing portion for sealing to the main filter element. The second circumferential sealing portion has a contour shape of single-fold rotational symmetry.

    Abstract: A filter element for insertion into a housing of a filter system. The filter element includes a filter medium pack and a seal receiver. The filter medium pack has an outer circumferential face extending between a first outer axial face and a second outer axial face, opposite the first outer axial face. The filter element further includes a seal receiver sealingly attached to the filter medium pack. The seal receiver includes a closed-loop surface suitable for receiving a removable circumferential seal member, and wherein the closed-loop surface forms a contour shape with single-fold rotational symmetry.     Abstract: Air cleaner assemblies, components, and features are described. The features can be used to provide that the air cleaner assembly (1) includes a housing (2) and cover (50) within which primary (100) and secondary (200) filter cartridges, having a media pack and a seal arrangement surrounding the media pack, can be installed. The filter cartridges can include an open end cap with an axially deviating seal arrangement and a plurality of axially extending channels for engaging with ribs on the housing. The filter cartridges can also include extension members extending from the open end cap that include the axially extending channels, entirely or partially. The filter cartridges can also include a guide member extending from the extension members for providing a low friction surface against the housing during installation that allows axial force exerted by the installer to be translated into a rotational force that rotates the filter cartridge during installation.

    Abstract: Embodiments herein relate to filter restriction indicator (100) for a filtration system. In an embodiment, a filter restriction indicator (100) can have an electronics control cartridge (800) including an internal spacer frame (304), a first circuit board (346), a second circuit board (302) disposed over the first circuit board (346), and a pressure sensor (336) in electrical communication with the first circuit board (346). A filter fluid tube (318) defines a filter fluid channel (348) in fluid communication with the pressure sensor (336). The internal spacer frame (304) can secure the first circuit board (346) at a fixed distance from the second circuit board (302). A lower housing (108) defines an ambient pressure port (310). A cap (102) defines an interior volume (332) into which the electronics control cartridge fits (800). The cap (102) can define a shielding panel (112) configured to fit over an exterior portion of the ambient pressure port (336) when the cap (102) is engaged with the lower housing (108).
