    Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To efficiently hydrosilylate a specific unsaturated reactive substance, especially a substance containing an unsaturated bond in the interior of structure by bringing silicon hydride into contact with the unsaturated reactive substance in the presence of a hydrosilylation catalyst composed of a specific amount of platinum catalyst supported on porous aluminum oxide at a specific pH. SOLUTION: (A) A silicon hydride of the formula: R1aHbSiX4-a-b (R1 is a 1-20C alkyl, a 4-12C cycloalkyl or an aryl; X is a halogen; a is 0-3; b is 1-3 and a+b is 1-4), preferably methyldichlorosilane, etc., is brought into contact with (B) an unsaturated reactive substance selected from (i) a (substituted) unsaturated hydrocarbon compound, (ii) a silicon compound composed of a (substituted) hydrocarbon substituent and (iii) a mixture of the component (i) and the component (ii) such as cyclohexene, etc., in the presence of a hydrosilylation catalyst composed of 0.1-15 wt.% of platinum catalyst supported on a porous aluminum oxide at pH 2-7.

    Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for producing an alkoxysilane containing halides only a little. SOLUTION: The method of this invention is to bring the first mixture containing an alkoxysilane of the formula: RaHbSi(OR1)4-a-b [Rs are each a 1-20C (substituted) hydrocarbon; R1s are each 1-4C hydrocarbon; (a) is 0-3; (b) is 0-3; (a)+(b) is 0-3] and residual halides into contact with the second mixture containing 1.5-15 mol (1-4C) alkyl alcohol and 0.1-5 mol orthoformate of the formula: HC(OR1)3 respectively based on 1 mol of residual halides in order to form the final mixture containing the newly produced alkoxysilane and low-boiling chemical species and then by separating the low-boiling chemical species from the alkoxysilane.
