    Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a reprocessable thermoplastic elastomer composition comprising a thermoplastic polyurethane polymer (A) and a silicone elastomer (B) in which the weight ratio of the silicone elastomer to the thermoplastic polyurethane polymer is 5:95 to 85:15, and to provide a method for producing the same.
    SOLUTION: The thermoplastic elastomer composition comprises the thermoplastic polyurethane polymer (A) and the silicone elastomr (B). The silicone elastomer (B) has a Williams plasticity of at least 30 and is a reaction product of dynamic vulcanization, containing 100 pts.wt. of diorganopolysiloxane rubber (B') having the average of at least two alkenyl groups in a molecule, at most 200 pts.wt. of reinforcing filler (B'') for some cases, an organic hydride silicon compound (C) having the average of at least two hydrogen atoms bonded to silicon in a molecule, and a hydrosilylating catalyst (D) where the amounts of the component (C) and (D) contained are sufficient to harden the diorganopolysiloxane (B'). The weight ratio of the silicone elastomer and the thermoplastic polyurethane polymer is 5:95 to 85:15. The thermoplastic elastomer composition is reprocessable.
