    Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a very stable emulsion copolymer by subjecting a specific polydiorganosiloxane macromonomer, a (meth)acrylic-functional polyisobutylene macromonomer, and optional free-radical-polymerizable monomers to mini- emulsion polymn. SOLUTION: This copolymer is obtd. by mixing the following components and heating the resultant reaction mixture under shear: water (a); a surfactant (b); a cosurfactant (c) selected from among hydrophobic solvents, fatty alcohols, and (halogenated) n-alkanes; a monoacryloxyalkyl-terminated polydiorganosiloxane macromonomer represented by formula I or a monomethacryloxyalkyl-terminated polydiorganosiloxane macromonomer represented by formula II (R is a divalent hydrocarbon group; R' is H, alkyl, etc.; and z is 1-1,000) (d); a (meth)acrylic-functional polyisobutylene macromonomer (e) ; optionally a free-radical-polymerizable monomer (f); and a free-radical initiator (g).

    Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a curable organosiloxane composition of long storage life that has prolonged storage life of a curing agent in the composition can provide hardened organosiloxane elastomer of long die life by adding small quantity of polybutene to curable components. SOLUTION: This curable organosiloxane composition of long storage life comprises (A) curable liquid polyorganosiloxane having at least two silanol groups, (B) organosilicon compound containing a hydrolyzable group bonded to at least three silicon atoms in a quantity of 0.8-6wt.%, (C) a tin compound in a quantity of 0.05-3wt.%, sufficient to accelerate the curing of the combination of components A and B (e.g., stannous acetate), and (D) polybutene of number- average molecular weight less than 600 and viscosity less than 100mPa.s at 38 deg.C, in a quantity of 2-20wt.%, respectively, based on the weight of component A, and preferably the composition contains water.
