Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a polymer in which the characteristics in the solid state are not inferior to a metallocene-catalyzed polymer, and has melting processing characteristics (namely, high melt strength) same as or better than those of LDPE, and a polymerization process for manufacturing of producing the polymer. SOLUTION: The polymer composition has (a) a high molecular weight branch component (HMW component) and (b) a low molecular weight branch component (LMW component) and the HMW component and the LMW component respectively has a substantially same comonomer incorporated amount and has a molecular weight distribution larger than 3.0 being in a specified relationship between the melt strength and the melt flow index. Abstract: A polymer composition comprises: (a) a high molecular weight, branched component; and (b) a low molecular weight, branched component. Some polymer compositions are characterized by a substantial absent of amyl or methyl branches and a melt strength (MS) that satisfies the following relationship, formula (I), where x is greater than or equal to about 12.5 and y is greater than or equal to about 3. Some polymers are characterized by a melt strength (MS) that satisfies the following relationship, formula (II), where x is greater than or equal to about 3 and y is greater than or equal to about 4.5 and a molecular weight distribution of greater than 3. A process for making polymers is also disclosed.
