Abstract: A method and system for securely delivering goods to a recipient is disclosed. The method and system include an input device having a tilt plate comprising a front side and a back side. The front side includes an outer touch surface. The back side includes electronic components mounted thereon and a raised center pivot, a plurality of spring loaded switches mounted thereon disposed around the periphery of the back side. Pressing the outer touch surface proximate its periphery in a sequence causes two or more of the spring-loaded switches to be activated. The system further includes at least one processor adapted to receive signals from the input device and compare the sequence entered by a delivery agent with a predetermined sequence as part of an access code associated with an order of goods for the recipient, and to grant access to an enclosure of the recipient if the sequence entered by the delivery agent matches the predetermined sequence.

Abstract: A method for more efficiently delivering goods to recipients is disclosed. Such a method includes receiving a communication, such as an email or text message, containing a unique identifier (e.g., tracking number, order number, product number, etc.). The unique identifier is associated with an order of goods intended for delivery to a recipient. The method extracts the unique identifier from the communication and generates an access code for association with the unique identifier. The access code enables a delivery agent to gain access to an enclosure of the recipient for deposit of the goods therein. In certain embodiments, the access code is derived from the unique identifier, such as by using certain digits or portions of the unique identifier to generate the access code. A corresponding system is also disclosed.

Abstract: A seat may comprise a contact surface that may contact a person sitting in the seat. One or more elongated depressions may be disposed in the contact surface and, together with the person, form at least one duct wherein fluid may flow. The seat may be connected to a heating, ventilation, or air conditioning (HVAC) system which may cause fluid to flow into the at least one duct to regulate the temperature of the person. Such fluid may then dispense into a passenger compartment and change a temperature thereof.

Abstract: A method for more efficiently enabling access to an enclosure is disclosed. Such a method includes designating an access code intended to enable access to an enclosure, and identifying an end user for whom the access code is intended. The method automatically generates a communication addressed to the end user and informing the end user that the access code has been established. In certain embodiments, the communication further informs the end user of any parameters that have been established for the access code. The method sends the communication to the end user using, for example, an email address or phone number of the end user. The method further communicates the access code to a control mechanism configured to control access to the enclosure. A corresponding system is also disclosed.
