Abstract:
A digital cinema projector set has a digital cinema projector module including a digital light engine and a lamp assembly having a light source and a light path dimensionally configured for the module to substantially occupy space intended for a lamphouse within a console for film projection. The module may include projector guide rails which allow the module to be installed in a console having corresponding console guide rails. The module or just its lamp assembly may be sufficient for use as a light source during projection of traditional film. The light path may include a folded light path using a prism with various coatings. The set may include an electrical filter circuit which maintains current ripple at or below a level sufficient for digital projection. The module may be removed and the original light equipment returned. A method of retrofitting all film projection consoles and a system therefor are provided.

Abstract:
A system and method for generating timing signals is disclosed. The memory mapped timer system provides the ability to easily and efficiently program a timer to generate a periodic interrupt signal to a processing unit or a one-shot interrupt signal after a defined time delay. The system also provides the ability to set a programmable rollover value for a counter to define the time between interrupts. A high-resolution counter provides the ability to generate a periodic interrupt every one hundred nanoseconds.
Abstract:
A technique for generating coefficients for a digital filter. A gain control signal with a value of reference gain and a frequency control signal with a value of reference frequency are provided. A plurality of gain and/or frequency points are calculated, according to a model of the frequency/gain characteristic of a prototype analog filter, at frequencies equal to and less than a Nyquist frequency (where the Nyquist frequency is half the sampling frequency of the digital frequency) and which match corresponds to gain and/or frequency points in the corresponding digital filter characteristic. Pre-warped parameters of a model of the analogue filter are calculated from the calculating points and a transform is applied to the resulting pre-warped analogue model, thus, converting the pre-warped analog model into the digital domain. Coefficients from the transformed model are generated and applied to the filter, thereby generating the coefficients of the digital filter.
Abstract:
An apparatus and method for an automated tournament gaming system (10) comprising a central server computer (20) operatively coupled to, inter alia, a plurality of gaming machine G.sub.1, G.sub.2 . . . G.sub.N for automatically harnessing any of the gaming machines for automatically inciting and running a tournament where a group of players are participating for a period after which prizes are awarded to the winning tournament play participants. In addition, the system (10) includes a host site computer (200) operatively coupled to a plurality of the central servers (20) at a variety of remote gaming sites C.sub.1, C.sub.2 . . . C.sub.N for providing a multi-site progressive automated tournament gaming system (210). The multi-site system (210) is integrated into the system (10) to increase the winnings, progressive amounts and the total buy-ins.
Abstract:
A poker card game and apparatus for its play are disclosed, particularly adapted for casino play, in which each player in a given game, using only a single dealt hand, plays simultaneously separately against the dealer (the house) and against the other players. Betting for the two lines of play may be separate or linked, and a player can elect to play only against the dealer or to play both games together. The game is played as a form of five-card stud with betting before each deal. At the end of each game a player's status as to whether he/she beat the dealer, beat the other players or both is determined and displayed, and winners are paid accordingly. Conventional dealing may be used, but it is preferred that a biased deal, which enhances the opportunities for players to be dealt reasonably good poker hands, be used.
Abstract:
Systems and methods for interacting with and customizing a dynamically extensible and automatically configurable building automation system (BAS). In one embodiment, a graphical user interface (GUI) of the BAS comprises a BAS summary page, at least one building summary page, at least one building space page, at least one end device page, and at least on subsystem page. The invention is also directed to methods for creating pages for a GUI of a BAS.
Abstract:
A method for manufacturing bread crumbs is provided which does not use a conventional staling step. The ingredients of bread dough are mixed together and baked to form bread loaves. The unstated bread is then subjected to a heat conditioning step to create a bread crumb product with qualities similar to bread crumb products produced using a conventional staling step. Thereafter, the bread may be further processed to form smaller bread crumbs, dried, and packaged for sale. As a result, no time-consuming staling step is needed in order to produce a bread crumb product having desirable qualities similar to those of bread crumb products that have been subjected to a conventional staling step.
Abstract:
Systems and methods for delivering ink by controlling a pressure of the ink. A vacuum or partial vacuum is maintained at an ink reservoir that supplies ink to one or more print heads. As the temperature of the inks or of the printing system changes, the pressure of the ink experiences a corresponding change. The printing system is equipped with temperature sensors to detect the temperature of the ink, the print heads, or the printing system. The temperature data is processed and an adjustment is made to the partial vacuum maintained on the ink reservoir to accommodate changes in temperature. The temperatures are repeatedly sampled to ensure that the pressure of the partial vacuum is properly maintained for current temperatures.
