Abstract: Extrusion blow molded (EBM) articles comprising a polyester having a dicarboxylic acid component and a glycol component. The dicarboxlyic acid component comprises at least 90 mole% terephthal- ic acid residues. The glycol component comprises at least 88 mole% ethylene glycol residues and 7 to 12 mole% residues of 1,4-cyclohexanedimethanol. Such EBM articles can exhibit reduced haze, reduced sharkskin, and/or increased compatibility in PET recycling.

Abstract: The present invention is generally directed to prepreg composites, typically in the form of unidirectional tapes, which contain at least one reinforcing fiber and a thermoplastic polyester matrix. The prepreg composites can be thermally bonded to a wood-containing material in order to improve the structural performance of the material without requiring adhesives. The prepreg composite of the present invention can be applied to a wide range of wood substrates, including various hardwoods, softwoods, and engineered wood composites.

Abstract: This invention relates to certain poly(1,4-cyclohexylenedimethylene terephthalate) copolyesters which are useful for the preparation of clear and tough thick wall molded parts, produced at good cycle times. The copolyesters can be molded into desired shapes such as cosmetic jars, fragrance caps, tool handles, and toothbrushes. These molded articles can have thick or thin walls and may be molded in a two shot molding process. The copolyesters also have good flow and reduced cycle times.
