    Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To accurately confirm extraction of a liquid and securely distribute the diluted liquid, by using a multi-port valve to selectively send out the diluted liquid from a mixing device to a selected position. SOLUTION: The distribution device 10 is provided with a mixing device 20 in which a diluent supplied form a supply source 12 of a diluent and a chemical compound supplied from a supply source 32 of chemicals are mixed to generate a diluted liquid for use. The diluted liquid is sent out to one of a plurality of use points 50 through a multi-port valve 100. The mixing device 20, the multi-port valve 100 and the constituting parts of the distribution device 10 are controlled by a controller 18. In this way, liquid extraction can be accurately confirmed in a costless, small, and simple system and the diluted liquid can be securely distributed to a plurality of use points.

    Abstract: A dispensing system for dispensing chemical products to a plurality of utilization points utilizes a multi-port valve to selectively deliver use dilutions from a mixing apparatus to selected utilization points. The multi-port valve utilizes a position sensor to provide positive proof-of-delivery by detecting the angular position of a rotor relative to a stator in the valve. The position sensor includes opposing annular arrangements of detectable elements and proximity detectors which rotate relative to one another about a common axis in response to rotation of the rotor such that detectable elements are oriented in proximity to a unique combination of proximity detectors at each of a plurality of predetermined angular positions. As a result, unique codes are output from the proximity detectors to positively identify positioning of the rotor at the predetermined angular positions.

A plurality of detectable elements 133.0-133.3, such as magnets, are disposed in an annular arrangement on the first member 120, and a plurality of proximity detectors 136.1-136.9, such as hall-effect detectors, are disposed in an annular arrangement on the second member 112. When the first 120 and second 112 members are rotated relative to each other, to one of a plurality of predetermined angular settings, the arrangements of detectable elements 133.0-133.3 and proximity detectors 136.1-136.9 are also rotated. At each of the predetermined angular settings the detectable elements 133.0-133.3 are orientated in proximity to a unique combination of proximity detectors 136.1-136.9. In the even of one of the proximity detectors 136.1-136.9 failing, there is still a unique code for each of the angular positions. There may be nine predetermined angular positions and three or four detectable elements.
