Abstract: A paint base comprising a vinylidene fluoride-hexafluoropropylene copolymer having one or more discrete vinylidene fluoride-hexafluoropropylene copolymer domains and one or more discrete vinylidene fluoride homopolymer domains including a major portion of vinylidene fluoride homopolymer domain which contains at least 50% of the vinylidene fluoride content of the polymers, paints and varnishes therefrom, coatings derived from said paints and varnishes and articles coated with said coatings are disclosed. The coatings have improved gloss, flex, crack resistance and other use properties.
