    Abstract: The carrier (12) has a supporting element (14) which is to be attached to a conveying device, for example an endless chain. A thrust element (16) of wear-resistant material is attached to the supporting element (14) in such a way that when the latter moves forward, it engages with a rear edge of a sheet (10) to be conveyed. The thrust element (16) is supported on the supporting element (14) in a backwardly resilient manner via at least one elastic intermediate layer (18).
