    Abstract: Un sistema que comprende: un compresor (12) que comprende un motor eléctrico configurado para conectarse a una fuente de alimentación (50); un módulo de sensor (32) que comprende: una entrada configurada para recibir mediciones de corriente generadas por un sensor de corriente (57, 60) en función de una corriente de la fuente de alimentación (50); y un procesador (100) que se conecta a la entrada, caracterizado porque: con el procesador configurado para determinar una corriente continua máxima para el motor eléctrico establecida en función de un tipo de refrigerante usado por el compresor, comparar selectivamente las mediciones de corriente con un valor igual a la corriente continua máxima multiplicado por un valor predeterminado, y generar una señal cuando las mediciones de corriente son mayores que el valor para un periodo predeterminado; y al menos uno de un módulo de control (30) y un controlador del sistema (34) configurado para ajustar selectivamente al menos uno del funcionamiento del compresor (12) y del sistema de refrigeración en función de la generación de la señal.
