Abstract: PURPOSE: To obtain an equipment wherein it is unnecessary for a die bonder to be stopped for many hours when needle arrangement is changed, by index- moving a retainer for continuously indexing one out of a plurality of die ejecting heads attached on the retainer, to a working position. CONSTITUTION: This equipment is provided with a retainer 12, a plurality of die ejecting heads 10 attached on the retainer 12, and a means which index- moves the retainer 12 for indexing the die ejecting head 10 to a working position. For example, the five die ejecting heads 10 are arranged, at equal angle intervals, around the retainer 12 which is rotatable around a central axial line, precisely positioned with each centering mechanisms, and detachably fixed to a retaining bracket 14. The retainer 12 is so rotated via a motor 78 and a gear equipment linked with a motor 78 that a selected head 10 is positioned at the working position of a die bonder machine.

Abstract: PURPOSE: To obtain an equipment wherein exchange of a jaw is unnecessary at the time of change to a pickup of other size die and fine adjustment of a die is easy, by constituting a cooperation centering means arranged on a tool holder and a head, of a three-point positioning equipment. CONSTITUTION: This equipment is provided with a retainer 12, a head 14 and a tool bank. The tool bank is provided with a plurality of tool holders 40, tools 48 are fitted into the respective tool holders 40, and the respective tools 48 are picked up with a head 14. A cooperation centering means for positioning the tool holders 40 on the head 14, and a means for driving the head 14 between the tool bank, a die holder station, and a fixing station are installed. A means which indexes the tool bank in order to index the selected tool holder to a station wherein the selected tool holder can be picked up with the head 14 is installed. In the above tool change equipment, the cooperation centering means is constituted of a three-point positioning equipment.

Abstract: PURPOSE: To make the dead time of a machine as short as possible at the time of change to a different kind of die and obtain an equipment capable of dealing with various kinds of dies, by installing a magazine storing a plurality of die supply packages, a specified clamp assembling member and an indexing means. CONSTITUTION: This equipment is provided with a magazine 10 storing a plurality of die supply packages 12 and a clamp assembly 40 having a first and a second clamping means which are rotatable around an axial line 62. The respective clamping means collect the die supply packages 12 selected from the magazine 10, and supply the die supply packages 12 to a die ejecting station. After a specified number of dies are taken out and returned to the magazine 10, the die supply packages 12 are withdrawn from the die ejecting station. An indexing means which indexes movements of the die supply packages 12 in the magazine 10, and a means which indexes rotation of the clamp assembly 40 around the axial line 62 are also installed.
