Abstract: Force is applied to a C-shaped counterforce structure (9) carrying a workpiece (6) to produce deformation. Operating force is corrected to a predetermined amount, to produce a uniform deformation by measuring the deformation. Independent claims are included for the following: (1) a riveting device; and (2) a piercing device.
