    Abstract: A packet radio data network includes a gateway node (GGSN), at least one serving node (SGSN) coupled to the gateway node, a plurality of radio access nodes (RAN) coupled to the serving node (SGSN), the packet radio network transporting packet data from an external packet data network. The external packet data network includes, an Internet Service Provider (ISP), to mobile stations (MS) wirelessly attached to radio access nodes (RAN). A mobile station (MS) issues a membership report message requesting content of a specific multicast group, whereupon the gateway node (GGSN) issues a multicast context activation message to the serving node (SGSN). The serving node (SGSN) informs the radio access network (RAN) that the mobile station is joining the respective multicast group and sends a multicast activation response to the gateway node (GGSN).

    Abstract: Método para establecer un servicio de multidifusión en una red de paquetes de datos por radio que comprende, por lo menos, un nodo de pasarela (GGSN), por lo menos, un nodo de servicio (SGSN) acoplado al nodo de pasarela, una pluralidad de nodos de acceso de radio (RAN) acoplados al nodo de servicio (SGSN), transportando la red de paquetes por radio, paquetes de datos desde una red externa de paquetes de datos a estaciones móviles (MS) unidas inalámbricamente a nodos de acceso de radio (RAN), comprendiendo el método las etapas de que: - una estación móvil (MS) edita un mensaje (1) de informe de miembro de multidifusión para el nodo de pasarela (GGSN), que indica que la estación móvil desea recibir contenido de un grupo de multidifusión específico (1); - el nodo de pasarela (GGSN) recibe el mensaje (1) y edita un mensaje (2) de activación de contexto de multidifusión para el nodo de servicio (SGSN) (2); - el nodo de servicio (SGSN) notifica (5) a la estación móvil, el soporte de acceso de radio y la calidad de servicio para la sesión de multidifusión (5), caracterizado porque: - el nodo de servicio (SGSN) informa (3) a la red de acceso de radio (RAN) que la estación móvil se está uniendo al respectivo grupo de multidifusión (3); - si ya no existe (2b) un grupo de multidifusión en el nodo de servicio (SGSN), el nodo de servicio (SGSN) crea un contexto para el grupo de multidifusión (2c) y añade (2d) la estación móvil (MS) al contexto del grupo de multidifusión (MC); - el nodo de servicio (SGSN) envía una respuesta (4) de activación de contexto de multidifusión, al nodo de pasarela (GGSN) (4).

    Abstract: A satellite telecommunication system using GPRS/UMTS architecture and adapted to establish a "direct" terminal-to-terminal user data path for terminals communicating through the same satellite, offers secure end-to-end communication by separate encryption of user data.     Abstract: The present invention relates to arrangements for charging in a packet switched network. Packets are charged differently dependent on which service flow the packets belong to. The charging system comprises a control system and a serving element residing in a packet forwarding system wherein said control system comprises an account function adapted to manage an account of at least one user and a charging policy decision point arranged to calculate a charging policy for allowed services for the at least one user. Moreover, said serving element comprises a token bucket per user adapted to store reservations received from the account function of the user associated with the token bucket and a charging policy enforcement point arranged to perform charging for a plurality of the allowed services by reducing the stored reservation of the token bucket according to the calculated charging policy.
