Abstract: The invention relates to a pin (21) for connecting an electrical conductor (2) to a PCB (4). The pin has a first part (24) thrust into a hole in the PCB and a second part (26), to which the electrical conductor (2) is connected by a sliding contact (8). The cross-sectional dimension (d2) of the second part (26) is greater than the cross-sectional dimension (d1) of the first part (24), and between these parts the pin (21) has a shoulder (27) with sharp edges. The hole in the circuit board is coated with a metal which is connected via tabs (22) to electrical conductors (3) of the PCB(4). The pin (21) is soldered in the hole with the aid of soldering metal (25) and flux. When the flux is heated it creeps along the surface of the pin. During soldering, the shoulder (27) with the edges prevents the flux reaching the second part (26) of the pin (21 ), the second part having contact surfaces (29) on the pin (21) against the sliding contact (8) and where the flux would be a contact resistance. The pin (21) has the advantage that its first part (24) is narrow and that the tabs (22) can have a small outside diameter. There is thus created room for a large number of conductors (3) between two adjacent pins (21).

Abstract: A device for holding a printed circuit board 1 in a frame 5, 6, which printed circuit board 1 is provided with connectors 2 with electrical connection pins 3 which are connected to electrical leads on the printed circuit board 1, is so designed that the frame 5, 6 is designed with holders 7, 8, 9, which correspond to end pieces 4 on the long connectors 2, which end pieces 4 lie against the front side of the printed circuit boards, whereby the connectors 2 and the printed circuit board 1 are held fast. The frames 5, 6 are designed with a projection 7 which lies against the front of the end piece 4 and a movable support 8 lies against the back of the printed circuit board 1 behind the projection 7, where it is held in place by means of a screw 9. The forces which arise when a device corresponding to the connector 2 is connected to the connector, are transferred to the frame 5 of the connector 2, whereby the printed circuit board 1 can be made thinner. This has among other things the advantage that the capacity between the different conductive layers of the printed circuit board 1 is large, and that the printed circuit board has good impedance matching, and there can be a high packing density of the leads without cross-induction problems.

Abstract: PCT No. PCT/SE88/00252 Sec. 371 Date Jan. 23, 1989 Sec. 102(e) Date Jan. 23, 1989 PCT Filed May 18, 1988 PCT Pub. No. WO88/09600 PCT Pub. Date Dec. 1, 1988.An arrangement for retaining a printed circuit board on a frame is disclosed. Connectors are mounted on the printed circuit board and have electrical connection pins connected to electrical conductors in the printed circuit board. The connectors are elongate and have end portions bearing against the front of the printed circuit board. The frame has holders coacting with the end portions, and these holders retain the connectors and the printed circuit board. The frame has a tongue engaging against the front of the end portion, and a movable support is kept in engagement against the back of the printed circuit board behind the tongue with the aid of a screw. The forces occurring when a means complementary to the connector is connected to the connector are transferred to the frame by the connector, and the printed circuit board can thus be made thin.
