Abstract: The invention relates to a method of multiplexing data words in a multicarrier transmit diversity system. The method comprises the step of generating a plurality of data blocks, each data block comprising data words and each data word containing data symbols derived from a data signal, the step of determining for one or more data blocks in dependence on at least one transmission constraint if the data words of said one or more data blocks are to be multiplexed in the time domain or in the frequency domain and the step of multiplexing the data words of the data blocks in accordance with the determination result.

Abstract: Un método de multiplexar palabras de datos en un sistema de diversidad de antenas de transmisión de multiportadora, comprendiendo dicho método: a) generar una serie de bloques de datos (C), comprendiendo cada bloque de datos (C) palabras de datos (C i ) y conteniendo cada palabra de datos (C i ) símbolos de datos (Cj (i) ) deducidos a partir de una señal de datos de multiportadora; b) determinar para cada uno o varios bloques de datos (C) dependiendo de al menos una limitación de transmisión si las palabras de datos (C i ) de dichos uno o varios bloques de datos (C) van a ser multiplexadas en espacio-tiempo o en espacio-frecuencia, donde la limitación de transmisión comprende una limitación de transmisión referente a datos que se refiere a una conservación de una o más estructuras periódicas de la señal de datos, las cuales van a ser multiplexadas en espacio-frecuencia y/o referentes a un número N predefinido de símbolos de datos (cj (i) ) a estar comprendidos dentro de cada palabra de datos (C i ), los cuales van a ser multiplexados en espacio-tiempo, donde las palabras de datos (C i ) que contienen el número N predefinido de símbolos de datos (cj (i) ) van a ser multiplexadas en espacio-tiempo mientras que las palabras de datos (C (i) ) que contienen más o menos símbolos de datos (cj (i) ) van a ser multiplexadas en espacio-frecuencia, y c) multiplexar las palabras de datos (C (i) ) de los bloques de datos (C) de acuerdo con la determinación de la etapa b).
