Abstract: The present invention relates to the use of Near-Infrared (NIR) spectrosc opy to the application of the measurement of constituent concentrations of c hemical based products typically having covalent bonding. Such constituent p roducts may be fat, moisture, protein, and the like typically in liquid form or colloid suspensions. More specifically, the invention is directed toward an NIR analyzer with multiple detectors with no moving parts. The invention utilizes thermal control in conjunction with normalization algorithms to al low parallel processing of the measurements between a reference and at least one sample, which may provide more accurate results. In addition, this inve ntion has the ability to use NIR in the third overtone and allows insitu pro cessing, with no waste stream.

Abstract: La presente invención se refiere al uso de espectroscopia cercana al infrarrojo (NIR) para la aplicación de la medición de concentraciones constituyentes de productos de base química que típicamente tienen enlaces covalentes. Tales productos constituyentes pueden ser grasa, humedad, proteína, y similares típicamente en forma líquida o suspensiones coloidales. Más específicamente, la invención se dirige hacia un analizador NIR con múltiples detectores sin partes en movimiento. La invención utiliza control térmico en conjunto con algoritmos de normalización para permitir procesamiento paralelo de las mediciones entre una referencia y al menos una muestra, que puede proporcionar resultados más exactos. Además, esta invención tiene la capacidad para usar NIR en el tercer hipertono y permite procesamiento in situ sin corriente de disipación.
