Abstract: This method for determining a personalized near vision index for an individual comprises: measuring (10) at least one parameter related to accommodation of the individual; determining (12) a binocular vision model representing vision of the individual; obtaining (14) the personalized near vision index as comprising a binocular visual effort of the individual in near vision, the binocular visual effort being evaluated as a function of the measured at least one parameter related to accommodation and of the determined binocular vision model.
