Abstract: PURPOSE: To obtain an article generating no crack, capable of being dyed easily and excellent in durability by using a thermosetting polysiloxane compsn. containing a specific aluminum compd. as a coating compsn. of an ophthalmic lens or the like comprising a transparent org. material. CONSTITUTION: An abrasion-resistant coating compsn. contains a silane hydrolysate containing an epoxy group and three alkoxy groups directly bonded to a silicon atom and a silane hydrolysate represented by formula I (wherein r and r are each a group generating an OH group at a time of the hydrolysis of silanes by reaction and Z and Z are each an org. group bonded to silicon by an Si-C bond not having a group capable of reacting with hydrolyzed silanes) and further contains colloidal silica and an aluminum compd. selected from a group consisting of aluminum chelates, a compd. represented by formula II and a compd. represented by formula (R'O)3-n Al(OSiR"3 )n (wherein R and R' are each a straight chain or branched chain alkyl group and R" is a straight chain or branched chain alkyl group or a phenyl group).
