Abstract: PURPOSE: To make peripheral and dynamic sight in parts at the sides of an intermediate distance view part and a near distance view part to be comfortable on a progressive multiple focus lens for ophthalmology, which is provided with an aspheric surface. CONSTITUTION: A surface has a far distance view part VL, the near distance view part VP and the intermediate distance view part VI. The maximum value of the inclination of an average degree on the surface exists at a part of a progressive main meridian curve MM positioned in the ranged of the intermediate view part VI. The inclination of the astigmatism of the surface has a value smaller than a product obtained by multiplying the added value of the degrees in the respective points by a coefficient kCmax having a constant value for the whole aspheric surface of the lens.
