Abstract: The optical article of the invention includes, on at least one of its main surfaces, an outer hydrophobic and/or oleophobic coating and a dual-layer temporary coating in direct contact with the outer hydrophobic and/or oleophobic coating, characterised in that the dual-layer temporary coating includes a first layer in direct contact with the outer hydrophobic and/or oleophobic coating, selected from halogenated olefin polymers and polyurethanes, and a second layer deposited on the first one, of a polymer or polymer mixture acting as a water barrier. The invention can be used for edging ophthalmic lenses.
