The invention concerns a device comprising in combination: means for detecting (4) characteristics of a lens; means for integrating characteristics representing a patient's morphology; a support (3) of the mobile lens along a predetermined trajectory between a first measuring position and a loading position; grinding means (20); and means forming a gripping and clamping clip (25) for transporting the lens from said loading position to said grinding position.

Procedimiento de medida por deflectometría de al menos una característica de refracción de una lente (L) en al menos un punto de medida específico de esta lente, que incluye las etapas que consisten en: - elaborar un haz luminoso (28) colimado dirigido hacia la lente (L), - separar un grupo localizado de al menos tres rayos luminosos (35) no coplanares del haz luminoso (28), siendo reagrupados estos rayos alrededor de un eje de medida (37) en un cilindro de medida que tiene una sección sensiblemente más pequeña que la lente medida (L), - medir la desviación imprimida por la lente (L) a estos rayos luminosos, - deducir el valor de la característica de refracción de la lente (L) en el punto de medida, caracterizado porque, permaneciendo la lente medida (L) fija con relación al haz luminoso, la posición del eje de medida (37) es variable de una medida a otra para adaptarse a la del punto de medida.

L'appareil de mesure comporte :- un support (40) agencé pour accueillir une telle lentille, seule ou sur sa monture,- d'un premier côté dudit support, des moyens d'éclairement (21) incluant un système optique pour élaborer un faisceau lumineux collimaté (28) dirigé vers la lentille (L) installée sur ledit support (40), et- d'un côté ou de l'autre du support (40), des moyens (23) de détachement de rayons lumineux du faisceau lumineux, aptes à détacher un groupe localisé d'au moins trois rayons lumineux non coplanaires regroupés autour d'un axe de mesure passant par le point de mesure de la lentille, dans un cylindre de mesure ayant une section sensiblement plus petite que la lentille mesurée,- d'un second côté du support (40), des moyens d'acquisition (30) propres à relever les déviations imprimées par la lentille à ces rayons lumineux détachés et à délivrer un signal représentatif de cette déviation,- un système électronique et informatique (50) programmé pour déduire desdites déviations la valeur de la caractéristique de réfraction de la lentille (L) au point de mesure.Le support (40) étant fixe par rapport aux moyens d'éclairement (21), les moyens de détachement des rayons lumineux possèdent une géométrie adaptative pilotée par le système électronique et informatique (50) pour modifier la position de l'axe de mesure en fonction de la position du point de mesure.

The method involves measuring the deviation produced by a lens (L) to light rays, and determining the value of refraction characteristics of the lens at a measurement point. The lens is maintained fixed with respect to a lighting unit. The position of measurement axis is variable from one measurement from to anther measurement for adapting to that of the measurement point of the lens. An independent claim is also included for an apparatus for measuring refraction characteristics of a lens in a specific point.

The lenses are moved while maintaining relative heights between centering heights of the lenses and an inter-pupillar distance separating lenses` two optical or reference centers.
