A maximum a posteriori (MAP) decoding apparatus and method are provided, which select a path having a maximum value without calculating all path metrics by generating metric difference vectors based on generated tables, calculating metrics of a path formed through a combination of a state and a branch each having a maximum metric, and calculating an index and a metric of a current state to which a calculation value is to be applied based on a result of comparing a state metric difference vector and a branch metric difference vector.

Proposed is an apparatus and method for contactlessly sensing a biological signal and recognizing a user's physiological information using same. The operating method of the sensing apparatus for contactlessly sensing biological signals may include a process of performing an initial setting in a contactless sensing apparatus, a process of obtaining video data from the contactless sensing apparatus, a process of removing noise from the video data, a process of extracting only a region of interest from the video data, and a process of estimating information on biological activity by analyzing the region of interest.

Disclosed are an array antenna device based on a single RF chain and an implementation method thereof. The method includes: defining a modulation technique of a data stream of to be transmitted; defining an operating frequency and an implemented antenna structure parameter based on the defined modulation technique; randomly selecting a load combination by searching all load combinations implementable with respect to parasitic elements of an array antenna; evaluating power and a phase error for a basis pattern based on the modulation technique with respect to the selected load combination; and implementing the array antenna based on one or more selected load combinations according to evaluation results of the power and phase error for all load combinations.

A display device, a wearable electronic device, and an operating method of an electronic device are proposed. According to the proposed technical idea, the display device includes a sensing unit configured to obtain movement information about at least one body part of a target user responding to an extended reality (XR) image output by a display panel, and a processor configured to generate the extended reality image from movements of the target user on the basis of the movement information, calculate an emotional empathy degree and a physical empathy degree for another user on the basis of the movement information the target user and movement information of the other user, and generate a final empathy degree of the target user for the other user on the basis of the emotional empathy degree and the physical empathy degree.

The present disclosure relates to a method of and an apparatus for generating a space for sharing augmented reality content among multiple participants. With the method and the apparatus, an object for configuring a virtual space, which is proposed in an actual space, can also be proposed, in a spatial matching manner on a per-user basis, inside a common sharing space in augmented reality content by utilizing the technology of generating a space for sharing augmented reality content among multiple participants.

Provided is a maximum a posteriori (MAP) decoder having a low latency and an operation method of the MAP decoder, including a branch metric calculation block to calculate a branch metric based on a received signal, a processor control block to demultiplex a received signal in a certain trellis section, an Extrinsec vector, and the calculated branch metric value, and a processor to calculate a path metric entering each state node in a certain trellis section, compensate for the calculated path metric, and calculate a state metric to be applied to a next trellis section based on the compensated path metric.
