Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To lessen the number of parts and make a filter assembly light weight and lower the cost by installing a nut plate with a structure capable of being fixed in an open end part of an outer casing and attachable to an upper end plate in liquid-tightly fitting state and forming flow inlets and a flow outlet in the nut plate. SOLUTION: This fluid filter assembly 40 comprises an outer casing 41 containing a filter medium 42 and a center pipe 45 and end part caps 43, 44 in both end parts of the outer casing 41. Moreover, a molded nut plate 46 is fixed in the other opened end of the outer casing and the nut plate 46 is made of glass-reinforced fibers to be an integrated member and is provided with a nipple 59 to which an approximately cylindrical female screw forming a flow outlet 52 is attached. A base part defined by the bottom wall 60 and side walls 62 is unitedly connected to the nipple 59. U-shape grooves 63 to receive the tightly sealing compression gasket 47 are formed in the uppermost part of the side walls 61 and the outermost side parts 62 and a plurality of flow inlets 64 parted from one another are formed in the side walls 61.
