Described is a basket for use in a centrifuge for dewatering material, such as crude ore for use in the mineral industry, where the basket is comprised of a first portion and a second portion. The first portion is characterized in that it includes a wear member, a back member, a connection flange and a feed end flange. The first portion is detachably connected to the second portion, which is formed from a screen member, a connecting flange and a delivery end flange.
Abstract:
A classifier and a method of separating material using such a classifier are disclosed. The classifier comprises a mixing chamber having a mixing fluidisation floor and a concentration chamber having a concentration fluidisation floor. The concentration fluidisation floor and at least a portion of the concentration chamber is located below the mixing fluidisation floor. The method of separating material using such a classifier comprises delivering material to be separated into a mixing chamber of the classifier, fluidising the material in the mixing chamber; transferring some of the material to a concentration chamber of the classifier in fluid communication with the mixing chamber, fluidising the material in the concentration chamber, forming a concentrating fluidised bed in the concentration chamber, separating the material with at least the concentrating fluidised bed and drawing heavier portions of the separated material from the concentration chamber.

A cake stacking system for supporting a multi-tiered cake includes a center rod that extends from a bottom of a base tier of the multi-tiered cake to an interior portion of an uppermost tier of the multi-tiered cake, and a plurality of peripheral rods arranged around the center rod, the plurality of peripheral rods disposed in each tier of the multi-tiered cake except for the uppermost tier of the multi-tiered cake. The center rod includes at least one first rod having a first height and one second rod having a second height. The first height is greater than the second height. Each peripheral rod includes a tubular member and a flange coupled to one end of the tubular member. The flange maintains a vertical position of the tubular member and supports a bottom surface of an above tier of the multi-tiered cake.

A scroll screen centrifugal separator includes a distributor that is configured to receive slurry received from a feed conduit. The distributor is configured to deflect the received slurry to a screen of the scroll screen centrifugal separator. In some embodiments, the distributor may include a distributor that has a flat surface encircled by a lip or having one or more lips positioned on the flat surface, an inclined surface, or a declined surface that faces the mouth of the feed conduit. In other embodiments, the distributor may include a plurality of dam members for defining passageways through which slurry is passable through the distributor prior to being ejected to a screen of the separator. In other embodiments, the distributor may include a distributor plate that has a plurality of radial arms attached thereto that are configured to direct slurry to the basket with a rotational velocity.

The feed section (4) has one or more feed pipes (11) extending horizontally and transversely with respect to a body wall (10) of the fluidized bed separator (1). The one or more feed pipes (11) are positioned completely and entirely underneath the inclined plates (17). An external oversize protection apparatus (3) which is separate from and external to the body wall (10) may be operatively coupled to the one or more feed pipes (11). One or more lamella cartridges (49) may be provided within channels (18) of the upper separation chamber (19), and one or more breakaway plates (54, 55) may be inserted within channels (18) to prevent sanding and fa- cilitate insertion and extraction of the lamella cartridges (49).

A classifier cleaning and optimization device is provided. The device includes a chamber that is adapted to contain a fluidized bed, an array of two or more adjacently arranged inclined plates positioned above the fluidized bed wherein an inclined channel is formed between each pair of adjacent inclined plates, and a means for introducing a process liquid into the chamber between the fluidized bed and the array of inclined plates such that in use, the process fluid travels through at least one of the inclined channels. A method of cleaning the separation section of a classifier is also disclosed herein.

A linear cutting assembly (10) for a food sheet comprises a cutting surface assembly (12), an arm assembly (14), and a cutting assembly (16). The cutting surface assembly comprises a base (18) that has a first channel (20) formed at a first end (18a) of the base. The arm assembly comprises an elongated portion (32) and a locking mechanism (34). The elongated portion has a track (36). The locking mechanism is adapted to partially reside within the first channel of the cutting surface assembly. The locking mechanism releasably secures the arm assembly relative to the cutting surface assembly. The cutting assembly comprises a rotatable blade (54). The cutting assembly is adapted to connect to the track of the arm assembly and move relative to the track of the arm assembly.

A food carrier configured for use in decorating, storing, serving and transporting food in a single device. The food carrier includes a turntable base having a body and a rotating member that rotates about a central axis relative to the body, a serving platter configured to removably secure to the turntable base; and a lid configured to engage the turntable base. The turntable base has a plurality of locking mechanisms to secure the rotating member relative to the body. The lid may be lockable to the turntable base by at least one locking mechanism.
