    Abstract: An electrical contact for extending through a hole in the printed circuit board in an insertion direction, includes a retention plate and a leg extending therefrom. The leg includes an insertion section and a deformation section. The deformation section includes a pair of opposite wide side faces in a first direction perpendicular to the insertion direction, and a pair of opposite narrow side faces in a second direction perpendicular to both the insertion direction and the first direction, and a cavity recessed from one wide side face in the first direction. The cavity forms a first end located closer to the insertion end of the leg in the insertion direction and equipped with a cone shape thereof, and a second end located opposite to the first end and closer to a rectangular retention section and equipped with an arc shape thereof. The cavity forms a trapezoidal cross-section.

    Abstract: An electrical connector assembly including a first connector and a second connector mated with each other. The first connector includes an insulative housing with a mating cavity sounded by opposite top wall and bottom wall, two opposite side walls and a rear wall. The rear wall forms opposite inner surface and outer surface. A plurality of contacts are retained to the housing and include the contacting sections exposed in the mating cavity and soldering sections exposed outside of the housing and behind the rear wall. A plurality of inner partitions are formed on the interior surface of the rear wall and extend into the mating cavity to separate the contacting sections of the neighboring contacts, respectively. A plurality of outer partitions are formed on the exterior surface of the rear wall to separate the soldering sections of the neighboring contacts.

    Abstract: A transmission module assembly comprises a cover and an electrical connector received in the cover. The cover includes a body defining a receiving cavity and a mating section extending forwardly from the body. The connector includes an insulating elongated housing and a number of terminals retained in the housing. Each terminal includes an engaging portion extending forwardly beyond the body into the mating section, a tail portion extending upwardly beyond the housing and a connecting portion retained in the housing. There is a gap between the body and the housing for pouring sealant thereinto. A tuber is defined between the housing and the body, and a pair of stoppers positioned at the body abut forwardly against two lateral sides of the housing in an elongated direction, which can prevent the housing from deforming when temperature changes.
