Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide the spectral camera multiplexer and demultiplexer optical component which makes quadrilateral spectral response and has a waveguide array. SOLUTION: This component has waveguide arrays 3a and 3b, a star entrance coupler 1, a star exit coupler 2, an entrance light guide for the star entrance coupler, and an exit light guide for the star exit coupler, and the waveguide arrays 3a and 3b extend the part between the star entrance coupler and star exit coupler. The spectral response of this invented spectral camera multiplexer demultiplexer optical component is nearly the sum of two Gaussian spectral responses of peaks shifting in wavelength.
Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce the effect of a temp. for a multiplexer without necessitating of performing the operation in the outside by providing length and a refractive index suitable for controlling positions in which various wavelengths are outputted from a device in plural spans containing respective optical waveguides and making these positions depend on the fluctuation in the temp. SOLUTION: Respective optical waveguides contain two spans 140, 142 placed serially, the spans 140, 142 are provided with respective lengths and refractive indexes suitable for controlling positions in which various wavelengths are outputted from a device and these positions depend on the fluctuation in the temp. For instance, in one form, the refractive indexes of the material of the spans 140, 142 of the respective optical waveguides are changed in the same direction corresponding to the temp. However, the respective length of the spans 140, 142 are changed reversely between the optical waveguides. Further, in another form, the refractive indexes of the material of the spans 140, 142 are changed reversely corresponding to the temp. and the respective lengths of the spans 140, 142 are changed in the same direction between the optical waveguides.
Abstract:
The invention concerns a method for controlling a movement of the line of sight of a camera mounted on a videoconference mobile terminal including: a) a step (72) of recording with at least two mutually spaced apart microphones integral with the mobile terminal, at least one common sound uttered by a user of the mobile terminal; b) a step (74) of establishing based on the recording of each of the microphones a direction in which the user's mouth is located; and c) a step (76) of controlling the movement of the line of sight based on the direction established during step b).
Abstract:
Abstract:
The different length guide sections dependent on guide number can be manufactured in a single epitaxial step and provide a good square wave response with good control of the secondary lobe phase, making the device suitable for phasars.
Abstract:
The optical guide comprises two lenses (10,12) separated by a guide (14). Each guide has two sections (140,142) disposed in series. The lengths and refractive index of each section are adapted to control the position of the output of different wavelengths with temperature, thus providing temperature compensation.
Abstract:
The system has a mobile telephone (42) displaying images captured by a mobile telephone (2) with image capturing points (20, 22). Controllable motors (30, 32, 34) move the capturing points upon reception of displacement controls using the telephone (2). The telephone (42) has a module (60) to send the controls to the telephone (2) via a telephone network (44) e.g. global system for mobile communication (GSM) network.
