    Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a duplex printing system.SOLUTION: A fluid ejection system includes: a receiver transport system configured to transport a receiver in a first direction; a first inkjet head assembly 20 including a first set of the fluid ejection nozzles to deposit fluid drops on a first surface of the receiver; and a second inkjet head assembly 30 including a second set of fluid ejection nozzles to deposit fluid drops on a second surface of the receiver. The first set of the fluid ejection nozzles are distributed in a first region that extends at least up to an edge of the first surface that is substantially parallel to the first direction.
