Abstract:
A communication promotion method is provided to appropriately support communication by a plurality of users in different environments. A character 2, operable by an IRC client 5, is linked to or installed in a user terminal 8. An administration device 3 detects a specific event in a channel and sends a specific command to the IRC client 5 via IRC. Commands do not always have to be sent to all of the IRC client 5, and may be different according to the IRC client 5. The user terminal 8 detects the aforesaid command and sends it to the character 2. Characters at each user terminal 8 operate as specified by the command.

A communication apparatus including a communication part for enabling communication with another apparatus and a transmission part for sending communication data to the communication part, further includes: a line detection part for detecting first line information for communication line transmission from the communication data sent from the transmission part to the communication part; a rejection line database for storing second line information for rejection of transmission; transmission determination part for comparing the first line information detected in the line detection part with the rejection line database, and determining whether or not transmission should be conducted; and a communication data abandoning part for abandoning the communication data, based on a determination result in the transmission determination part, wherein, in the case where the first line information detected in the line detection part is present in the second line information in the rejection line database, the communication data sent from the transmission part is abandoned.

A periodic process load control system for use in a multiple-process operating system comprises an activation event generation unit 10 for periodically generating events to activate a periodic process, the process comprising a soft real time process portion D which selectively executes or omits non-essential processings B, C or changes their frequency of execution according to an accumulation value of a plurality of past time intervals between a previous operating time and the current time from which the loading of the processor is determined. The accumulation value is compared with threshold values (Figure 10) for high and low loads and the processing selected accordingly to minimise degrading the frequency of execution of a real time process A when the system is highly loaded.

An information processing apparatus (101) stores one or more application sets configured by information of one or more applications. The information apparatus (101), by an instruction of a manager, transmits the one or more application sets to a communications apparatus (102). The communications apparatus (102) reflects the received one or more application sets on the communications apparatus (102). The communications apparatus (102) manages and executes the application set(s). Thus, the information processing apparatus (101) can flexibly and quickly reflect constraints for business use of the communications apparatus (102) set by the manager.

A program acquisition method performed by an information processing terminal includes calculating a degree of matching a first condition that authorizes access to a predetermined program with respect to a condition detected in relation to the information processing terminal, acquiring the predetermined program and storing the acquired predetermined program in a storage in response to the degree of matching being within a predetermined range from a first value indicating that the degree of matching satisfies the first condition, and restricting the access to the predetermined program stored in the storage until the degree of matching indicates the first value.

In a task switching assisting method, an information processing apparatus stores task information regarding a task executed by a user, stores an element related to execution of the task in correlation with the task information, determines an operation related to the task, determines a work status with respect to the correlated element related to the execution of the task, based on the determined operation related to the task, and switches the task by saving or restoring the work status, based on the task information and the work status with respect to the correlated element related to the execution of the task.

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a technique for quickly recovering a failure of a device driver occurring in a computer, in which a virtualization technology is introduced, while a virtualization system is being continuously operated.SOLUTION: In a management VM 10, a failure recovery control information storage part 103 stores failure recovery control information in which failure recovery ranges and failure recovery methods corresponding to failure types and device types are defined. A failure detection information reception part 101 receives failure detection information from a VM which detected a failure of a device driver. A recovery method determination part 102 refers to the failure recovery control information and acquires a failure recovery range and a failure recovery method corresponding to a failure type and a device type included in the failure detection information. A recovery instruction transmission part 104 transmits failure recovery instruction information, which directs execution of a recovery processing indicated in the failure recovery method, to a failure recovery target VM specified from the failure recovery range. The failure recovery target VM executes the recovery processing indicated from the management VM 10.

SOLUTION: In a communication network including relaying apparatuses 3a, 3b and a call control unit 2, the speech restart system 1 includes: a reservation section 61 for recording terminal identification data for particularizing a speech mobile terminal 5a and an opposite terminal 5b to a recording section 63 when a discrimination section 8 detects that communication between a speech mobile terminal 5a and a relaying apparatus 3a is disabled; a continuity processing section 7 that generates a call with the opposite terminal 5b denoted by the terminal identification data and transmits a message to the opposite terminal 5b; and a restart section 62 that uses the terminal identification data to request the call control unit 2 to restart a speech between the mobile terminal 5a and the opposite terminal 5b when the discrimination section 8 detects that the communication state of the mobile terminal 5a is recovered.
