Abstract:
The invention provides containers and methods of use for the storage, transportation and preparation of samples, such as DNA samples for analysis. The container is pre-provided with the reagents in sealed chambers. The sample can be introduced and the container manipulated to release the reagents, provide the necessary conditions and give a fully prepared sample. The container can then be engaged with an analysis device to identify characteristics of the sample or perform other operations thereon.
Abstract:
A method and device structure are provided which enable an archive sample to be collected and detached relative to a device within which a series of processes, such as PCR are being provided. A chamber structure and method of use are provided in which a controlled and precise volume is obtained by control of the relative resistance to flow through various channels.
Abstract:
A method of analysis, instrument for analysis and device for use in such an instrument are provided, which perform a number of processes need to reach a useful result in the context of a wide variety of samples. The sequence of those processes being optimised. A device, instrument using the device and method of use are also provided which offer reliable performance of a heating based process, with minimal condensation and/or sample loss issues.

Abstract:
A method for collecting a sample and/or analysing a sample is provided, together with kits for use therein, in which the method includes using the kit and wherein an identifier is provided on one or more of the devices and/or containers and/or packaging which can be recorded and which is used to link the identity of the identifier for one or more of those identifiers to one or more of the identities for one or more of the other identifiers. In this way, the different devices, containers, pieces of equipment, reagents and stages used in the collection and/or analysis can be linked together for future reference. This ensures the correct processing of the sample and the correct attributing of the end results to it. Checks or other enquiries can be made on each of the different devices etc to validate the results if necessary.
