Abstract:
A valve (3c) comprises a valve block (5) with two opposing surface parts (7, 9), a first channel (11) and a second channel (13) extending through the valve block (5). An outlet channel (15) extending between a third surface part (17) and an interior of the valve block (5). A first channel connection (19) connecting the first channel (11) and the outlet channel (15) and a second channel connection (21) connects the second channel (13) and the outlet channel (15). A first valve member opens and closes the first channel connection (19), and a second valve member opens and closes the second channel connection (21). In a valve arrangement at least two valves (3c) are arranged as a succession and are interconnected, e.g.by couplings (41, 49, 45).
Abstract:
The sanitary diverter valve (70) is for use in a drying system or powder conveying system including conveying lines and a purge line of a purge arrangement. The sanitary diverter valve comprises a valve housing (71) with a number of openings (72, 73, 74) configured to be connected to respective lines of the system. The valve housing (71) is substantially cylindrical and includes a first opening (72), a second opening (73) and a third opening (74). Furthermore, the diverter valve (70) comprises a rotatable diversion member (75) provided with a flow channel (76) having a first end (76a) and a second end (76b), an open space (77) being defined between the valve housing (71 ) and the rotatable diversion member (75). The rotatable diversion member (75) is configured to be rotated between a first position and a second position to allow that fluid communication is selectively provided between the first opening (72) and the third opening (74) and between the first opening (72) and the second opening (73) of the valve housing (71).
Abstract:
The invention relates to a spray drying system (1 ) comprising a spray dryer with a drying chamber (2) and a process air/gas supply device, at least one powder recovery unit (4), a conveying line (11 ) for powdery material such as fines from the powder recovery unit, a connection assembly (10) connecting the powder recovery unit or the conveying line to a cleaning-in-place, CIP, arrangement including a CIP line configured to transport CIP liquid. The connection assembly (10) comprises a sanitary valve (20) including a first inlet (12) to the conveying line or the powder recovery unit, and a valve member (21 ) moveable between an open position and a closed position, wherein in the closed position, one part of the valve member (21 ) seals the conveying line (1 1 ) and when in the open position, the valve member (21 ) is moved to provide communication between the CIP line (15) and the conveying line (11 ) or the powder recovery unit (4), thereby allowing CIP liquid to enter and exit the sanitary valve (20) through the CIP line (15) and into the conveying line (1 1 ) or the powder recovery unit (4) via said first inlet (12). In another aspect of the invention, a method for cleaning a spray drying system is described.
