Abstract:
A METHOD IS PROVIDED FOR CONVERTING ORGANOSILICON HALIDES, FOR EXAMPLE, HALOSILANES AND BIS(HALOSILYL)HYDROCARBONS, TO THE CORRESPONDING HYDRIDES. SILICON HALIDE REDUCTION IS EFFECTED BY UTILIZING CERTAIN ORGANOMETALLIC HYDRIDES.
Abstract:
A self-fitting earplug has a generally elongated, ovoid- or bullet-shaped mass of deformable putty-like polymer enclosed in an elastomeric or resilient envelope which urges the polymeric mass toward its original shape when deformed or elongated and inserted in the ear canal whereby the earplug conforms to the ear canal walls providing a close fit in the canal for attenuation of sound and sealing of the ear opening.
Abstract:
A process for making an aural communications receiving device of formed-in-place elastomeric composition constructed especially to provide a smooth, tight seal over the mouth of the ear canal when stretched and including a formed-in-place sound transmitting passageway acoustically coupled to an integral connecting means for securing a communications component or to an embedded speaker at an outwardly presented surface.
