Abstract: The apparatus (30) and method (200) for determining well integrity of a hydrocarbon-producing well (10) described herein uses uniquely, the resonances reflected from the well integrity layers (44-54) to determine well integrity features, and in some embodiments, to determine a geometry characterization image (136) for the different well integrity layers. Well integrity features include but not limited to a presence or absence of micro-annuli, length and thickness of micro-annulus and cement de-bonding.

Abstract: According to some embodiments, a system (600) and method (400) are provided to estimate boiler tube (110) failures. The method comprises receiving fuel properties (S210) associated with a type of fuel being used to fire a boiler. The boiler comprises a plurality of tubes (130). Material properties (S220) associated with the plurality of tubes and operational data (S220a) associated with the boiler are also received (S220). A first model (408) based on the received fuel properties, the received material properties and operational data is determined. Tuning parameters (410) associated with the first model based on first validation data may be modified using Bayesian learning to determine a second model (412). Based on second operational data input into the second model, a likelihood of failure associated with the plurality of tubes is automatically determined and an alert associated with the boiler may be transmitted.

Abstract: A gear inspection system and method for a gearbox, wherein an image acquisition unit is oriented proximate the gearbox with a field of view of a section of the gears. The image acquisition unit obtains images of a gear tooth and corresponding contact pattern. In one embodiment a processing unit transforms the images to a gear tooth model so that the gear tooth image and contact pattern image matches the model gear tooth. Metrics are computed for the contact pattern, and based on threshold values, a determination is made as to whether the gearbox is acceptable.
