Abstract: A regenerative thermal oxidizer system (100) and a method for operating the regenerative thermal oxidizer system (100) are provided. The regenerative thermal oxidizer system (100) comprises a feed pipe (102) for supplying a feed gas stream (101), a discharge pipe (103) for discharging a first output gas stream, a combustion chamber (115), a first regenerator chamber (111) and a second regenerator chamber (113) in fluid communication with the combustion chamber (115), an oxidation chamber (117), and a flow control system. The oxidation chamber (117) is used to treat a residual feed gas stream upon gas flow reversal, so the emission peaks can be avoided.

Abstract: A method for processing coal water slurry is provided and comprises: providing a first stream of coal water slurry comprising coal particles of a first average size; providing a first stream of additive; and processing the first stream of coal water slurry and the first stream of additive to produce a second stream of coal water slurry comprising coal particles of a second average size smaller than the first average size. An associated apparatus and system are also presented.

Abstract: An apparatus for making CWS is provided. The apparatus includes a pretreatment device, a microwave generation device and a slurry preparation device. The pretreatment device is for receiving raw coal and a microwave absorbent, crushing the raw coal and mixing the microwave absorbent with the crushed coal. The microwave absorbent includes at least one of fine slags and soot. The microwave generation device is for heating a mixture of the microwave absorbent and the crashed coal from the pretreatment device. The slurry preparation device is for making coal water slurry using the heated mixture of the microwave absorbent and the crushed coal. A method for making CWS is also provided.
