    Abstract: An article comprising: a housing (1 ) comprising: i. a barrel portion (2), wherein a shaft (10) capable of unidirectional or bidirectional movement is disposed within the barrel portion (2), wherein the shaft (10) comprises a proximal end (11) and a distal end (12), and wherein a pair of jaws (13) is located at the distal end (12) of the shaft (10), and ii. a plurality of controllers (3), wherein a Jaw latch selector (20) located under the barrel portion (2): connected to a shaft binder (21 ), is adapted for selecting between unidirectional and bidirectional movement of the shaft (10), and wherein a jaw controller (30) located under the barrel portion (2) is adapted to open and close the pair of jaws (13) at the distal end (12) of the shaft (10) by movement of the shaft (10), wherein the shaft binder (21) located in the barrel portion (2), disposed about the shaft (10), is connected to the jaw latch selector (20} so that the shaft binder (21 ) either binds upon the shaft (10) to restrict movement of the shaft (10) to unidirectional movement or does not bind upon the shaft (10) so that the shaft (10) moves bidirectionally; wherein the jaw latch selector (2Q) and the jaw controller (30) can be operated by fingers of the hand holding the housing (1); and wherein the shaft binder (21) comprises a top portion (22) and a bottom portion (23), wherein the top portion (22) is held in a fixed position by the housing (1).
