Abstract:
Delivering notifications to a user can include obtaining, by one or more server computers, notification information indicating that a notification is to be delivered to a device associated with the user at a future time that is subsequent to a current time and behavior information associated with the user; ranking, by the one or more server computers, a plurality of notification delivery strategies that the user will be available to receive the notification from the device associated with the user at the future time based in part on behavior information associated with the user; and sending the notification for display to the device associated with the user based on a highest ranked delivery strategy from the plurality of delivery strategies.
Abstract:
Provided are methods and systems for delivering smart reminders to a user based on data associated with a calendar event of the user. The methods and systems utilize data contained in a user's calendar to deliver relevant event location identification information to the user at appropriate times in advance of a scheduled start time for the event. A reminder notification is delivered to a device of the user when it is determined that the user is approaching the specified event location (e.g., based on location data associated with the user device) and the scheduled start time for the event is within a threshold period of time. The notification includes one or more images of a particular venue specified for the event, contact information for the venue, as well as various other data associated with the particular venue and/or corresponding event.
Abstract:
A method includes obtaining, at one or more computers, information regarding a notification to be delivered to a device associated with a user at a first time, obtaining, at the one or more computers, information associated with the user, and determining, at the one or more computers, a probability that the user will be available at the first time based on the information associated with the user. If the probability that the user will be available at the first time is below a threshold, the method includes delivering the notification to the device associated with the user at a second time prior to the first time.
Abstract:
A method, system, and data structure for creating electronic calendar entries or calendar events are disclosed. In some embodiments, a client computer receives a web document, such as email message, with an embedded event creation link, from a remote computer. The web document includes one or more event creation links, each corresponding to a distinct text portion of the web document associated with one or more parameters for an event. The client displays the web document. The client then changes a visual appearance of the distinct text portion of the web document in response to a user hover over the distinct text portion. Furthermore, in response to activation of the embedded event creation link associated with the distinct text portion, the client computer displays an editable electronic calendar entry form with multiple fields. The multiple fields contain event information from the embedded event creation link.
