Abstract: Techniques for estimating social content interactions are provided. An example method includes determining counts of one or more user interactions with one or more content items created by an author, each user interaction of the one or more user interactions having an associated time, classifying, based on respective associated times of the user interactions, the determined counts of the user interactions with the content items into predetermined time intervals spanning a first duration, computing an engagement model for the author based on the classified counts corresponding to the predetermined time intervals and a number of the content items created by the author and estimating, at a particular time for a second duration, a number of interactions with a particular content item created by the author based on the engagement model and a determined actual number of interactions with the particular content item.

Abstract: The disclosure includes a system and method for detecting fine grain copresence between users. The system includes a processor and a memory storing instructions that when executed cause the system to: process one or more signals to determine coarse grain location information of a first device and a second device; determine whether the first device and the second device are copresent based on the coarse grain location information; in response to determining that the first device and the second device are copresent based on the coarse grain location information, transmit a signal to the second device to alert the second device to listen for a fine grain copresence token from the first device; and refine copresence based on receiving an indication that the second device has received the fine grain copresence token.

Abstract: Implementations generally relate to providing data transmission between devices over audible sound. In some implementations, a method includes mapping each symbol of data to a frequency combination, where each frequency combination includes one or more frequencies. The method further includes generating a sine wave for each frequency. The method further includes adding sine waves for a given symbol to obtain a resulting sine wave. The method further includes applying a window function to the resulting sine wave to obtain a data signal.

The system includes a processor and a memory storing instructions that when executed cause the system to receive user input regarding copresence detection settings for a first user device, the copresence detection settings comprising a location and/or a user access control list, and determine a current location of the first user device. The system may determine whether copresence detection of the first user device is enabled at the current location based on the copresence detection settings and the current location. Based on determining that copresence detection is enabled, the system may refine copresence and perform an action based on fine grain copresence of the first and second user device.
