    Abstract: Described herein are techniques that facilitate the prediction of the end-of-life of a direct current (DC) motor of an apparatus. The described techniques include tracking end-of-life indicative motor-response values of a DC motor based on an applied-voltage value at its corresponding specified speed of the DC motor when the motor is engaged. in response to the determination that the tracked values exceed a range of acceptable operational values, a health-status notification regarding that DC motor is generated.     Abstract: Example systems relate to recoater movement. A non-transitory machine readable medium may contain instructions executable by a processor. The instructions may include instructions to change an action of a recoater in response to a determination that the recoater has reached a first location of a build area comprising build material. Instructions may further include instructions to lift the recoater in response to a determination that the recoater has reached a second location of the build area. Instructions may additionally include instructions to move the recoater over the second location at the lifted position, wherein the second location includes a build-up of the build material.

    Abstract: Examples disclosed herein relate to printhead indexing. An example method can include rotating a crank arm connected to a coupling bar. The method can include moving a print sled translationally by the coupling bar, where the print sled may be located in X, Z, and Y orthogonal dimensions. In this example, the print sled may be translationally moved to one of a number of index positions by the coupling bar in response to rotation of the crank arm, where the number of index positions are separately located in a Y dimension with the same Z dimension.
