    Abstract: 1361254 Dyeing synthetic polyamides FARBWERKE HOECHST AG 29 July 1971 [29 July 1970] 35671/71 Heading D1B Flat textile structures of synthetic polyamides are dyed by padding with an aqueous liquor at pH 6 to 7 which liquor contains a 1:2 metal complex dye and an auxiliary solubilising agent comprising a mixture of a polyglycol and a polyalkylene glycol monoalkyl ether having a molecular weight within the range of from 100 to 350, the padded textile structure of a number of such padded structures being formed into a multi-layer package the dye then being fixed by allowing to dwell in the moist state at a temperature of 20‹ to 85‹C. The dwelling time may be 16 to 72 hours at room temperature, preferably the multi-layer package is covered with cotton cloths or plastic sheets prior to dwell fixation. The auxiliary mixture may be a mixture of equal parts by weight of a polyethylene glycol having a molecular weight of from 150 to 1000 and a monoalkyl ether of a polyethylene glycol having from 2 to 5 condensed ethylene oxide units per molecule the alkyl group having 1 to 4 carbon atoms.
