    Abstract: Polymers on the basis of tetrafluoroethylene are produced in the presence of a redox system as catalyst consisting of a usual peroxidic compound as oxidizing component and a water-soluble nitrogen compound liberating in situ a diimine under the polymerization conditions. The polymers obtained can be processed, inter alia, into thick walled articles on a ram extruder or into large sintered block free from crack formation.

    Abstract: 1277808 Polytetrafluoroethylene / filler mixtures FARBWERKE HOECHST AG 22 Oct 1969 [22 Oct 1968] 51688/69 Heading C3P A mixture of polytetrafluoroethylene and up to 60% by volume, calculated on the polytetrafluoroethylene, of at least one filler, the particles of the mixture having an average size of from 0À2 to 2 mm. and comprising a homogeneous agglomerate of filler particles and polytetrafluoroethylene particles having a size of from 0À1 to 0À5 microns, the mixture additionally comprising a cationic substance containing at least one branched or straight chain, aliphatic or araliphatic radical having from 12 to 30 carbon atoms, may be prepared by suspending one or more fillers in an aqueous dispersion of polytetrafluoroethylene and jointly coagulating the filler and the polytetrafluoroethylene in the presence of the cationic substance. In the examples the fillers used are glass fibres, graphite and bronze powder and the cationic substances used are lauryl and stearyl amine acetate, stearylpropylene diamine diacetate and behenylamine acetate (both in ethanol) and oleylamine benzoate. Paste extrusion compositions are prepared from the mixtures and gasoline.
