THE DYESTUFF MIXTURES SHOW IMPROVED REHOLOGICAL PROPERTIES AND AN IMPROVED TINCTORIAL STRENGTH. MOREOVER, THEY YIELD PURER SHADES AND HAVE AN INCREASED TRANSPARENCY.
Abstract:
Polyfunctional alcohols with at least two alcoholic hydroxy groups are effective agents for dispelling fog and clouds. Preferred solid compounds are the so called sugar alcohols, saccharides and polyvinyl-alcohol, as liquid compounds or compounds with a low melting point alkane-diols, -triols or polyols or their reaction products with oxalkylating agents. The said compounds are sprayed into fog or clouds in finely dispersed form. They may be used, optionally together with other fog and clouds dispelling agents.

MIXTURES OF DISAZO DYESTUFFS OBTAINED BY COUPLING DIAZOTIZED 3,3''-DICHLORO-4,4''DIAMINO-DIPHENYL WITH A MIXTURE CONSISTING OF ONE OR TWO POLAR COUPLING COMPONENTS OF THE ACETOACETYLAMINO-BENZENE AND 1 - ARYL-PYRAZONEL - (5) SERIES CONTAINING CARBOXY AND/OR SULFONIC ACID GROUPS AND ANOTHER MIXTURE CONSISTING OF ONE OR TWO NON POLAR COUPLING COMPENENTS OF THE ACETOACETYLAMINO-BENZENE AND 1-ARYL-PYRAZOLONE-(5) SERIES WITHOUT ANY WATER-SOLUBILIZING GROUPS. THESE DYESTUFF MIXTURES SHOW IMPROVED RHEOLOGICAL PROPERTIES AND AN IMPROVED TINCTORIAL STRENGTH. MOREOVER, THEY YIELD PURER SHADES AND HAVE AN INCREASED TRANSPARANCY.

Abstract:
Symmetrical and asymmetrical disazo compounds of the formula wherein K is the radical of an enolized or enolizable coupling component, Z is hydrogen, halogen, lower alkyl, lower alkoxy or nitro and N IS 1 TO 10 AND WHEREIN AN ASYMMETRY CAN BE CAUSED BY A DIFFERENT POSITION OF THE SUBSTITUENTS ON THE BENZENE RINGS A and B and/or by different substituents Z and/or different coupling component radicals K, and mixtures of such compounds are colorants, especially pigments, of a high tinctorial strength and purity of shade, good rheological properties in lacquers and printing inks, high luster of colorations, good fastness to light, solvents, alkali, acids and migration, combined with a good covering power. Especially the combination of good covering power and high tinctorial strength is advantageous for lacquers and printing inks.
Abstract:
Symmetrical and asymmetrical disazo compounds of the formula: +TR wherein: the R1's are identical or different and are hydrogen, chlorine, bromine, methyl or methoxy; the R2's are hydrogen, or, if the R1's are hydrogen, the R2's are hydrogen, methyl or ethyl, the two R2 radicals being identical or different; and n is 1 to 4 and mixtures of such compounds as colorants, especially for pigmenting high molecular weight organic material. These compounds display high tinctorial strength, high fastness to light, and very good stability to heat, making them outstandingly suitable for dyeing and printing plastics, natural and synthetic resins, rubber, paper, viscose, cellulose, cellulose esters, cellulose ethers, polyvinyl chloride, polyamides, polyolefins, halogenated polyolefins, polystyrene, polyurethanes, polyacrylonitriles, polyglycol terephthalates or copolymers based on acrylonitrile/butadiene/styrene (ABS copolymers) and also for the preparation of printing inks, colored lacquers and emulsion paints and for pigmenting printing pastes for graphical and textile printing and printing on plastic and metal surfaces.
