    Abstract: A process for the production of parabase ester is claimed; this involves at least one of the following processes which are the subject of independent claims: (i) the production of acetanilide from aniline and acetic acid, the reaction being carried out in a static mixer; (ii) chlorosulphonation of acetanilide, in which acetanilide is introduced into a reactor as a molten liquid and reacted with chlorosulphonic acid (ClSA) and thionyl chloride; (iii) crystallisation of acetaminobenzene-sulphonyl chloride (ABSCl) from the reaction mixture from stage (ii), a process in which hydrogen chloride, sulphur dioxide, ClSA and thionyl chloride are removed by evaporation, (iv) the crystallisation of acetaminobenzene-sulphinic acid (ABSA), which is carried out as a continuous process; (v) the esterification of acetaminosulphone (AASO) with sulphuric acid (H2SO4) by mixing AASO with H2SO4, feeding the mixture into a mixing reactor and esterifying at 120-170 deg C.
