Abstract: Compounds of formula (I) wherein R is halogen, CF3, NO2, CN, (C1-C4)alkyl or (C1-C4)-alkoxy, n is zero or 1, X is O, S, NH, or N-(C1-C4)alkyl, Y is O or S, R1 is H or (C1-C4)alkyl and Z is, among others, a cyanalkyl, (subst.) carbalkoxyalkyl, (subst.) carbalkoxyphenyl, sulfoxyalkyl or oxime group, are selective herbicides active especially against weed grasses.

Abstract: Herbicidal agents containing as active ingredient a compound of the formula in which R represents halogen, C1-C4-alkyl, C1-C2-alkoxy or C1-C2-alkylthio, C1-C2-halogeno-alkyl, NO2SO2CH3, SO2NH2, -COOCH3, CN, with the proviso that R2 cannot be alkoxy when (R)n is alkyl, R1 and R3 represent C1-C6-alkyl, R2 represents C1-C6-alkyl, CH2Cl or C1-C6-alkoxy, X is oxygen or sulfur and n is an integer of from 1 to 3 are especially useful for combatting annual weed grasses in dicotyledonous and even monocotyledonous crop plants.
