    Abstract: 1406582 Flame resistant polyolefin compositions HOECHST AG 2 March 1973 [7 March 1972] 10295/73 Heading C3P Compositions comprise (1) 50 to 86 weight per cent of a polyolefin selected from polyethylene, polypropylene and copolymers of ethylene with up to 15 mol. per cent of higher olefins or of propylene with up to 15 mol. per cent of higher olefins or ethylene, (2) 5 to 40 weight per cent of talcum, (3) 5 to 25 weight per cent of an organic halogen-containing flame retarding agent and (4) 4 to 10 weight per cent of antimony trioxide. The flame retardant may be tetrabromophthalic anhydride or an adduct of 3 moles of hexachlorocyclopentadiene with 1 mole of trisacryloyl perhydrotriazine. In examples the compositions comprise polypropylene stabilized with bis-(3,3-bis-(4-hydroxy- 3-t.butylphenyl) butanoic acid) glycol ester, dioctadecyl disulphide, dibutyl tin carboxylate and calcium stearate.
