Abstract: Methods for the thermally stable adhesive bonding together of deformable sheetlike structures, preferably textile sheet materials, by applying to the surface of a deformable sheetlike structure a solution of an alkanol-etherified methylolaminotriazine having an analytical average of from 0.3 n to 2 n methylol groups per mole of the corresponding aminotriazine which have been wholly or partly etherified, n being the number of amino groups in the aminotriazine, with or without a catalyst, drying the sheetlike structure thus treated, and then pressing it together with a second sheetlike structure under the action of pressure and heat.
