    Abstract: 1349891 Unsaturated polyester compositions FARBWERKE HOECHST AG 22 April 1971 [23 April 1970] 10808/71 Heading C3P A polymerizable resin mixture comprises at least one unsaturated polyester and at least one cotelomer of maleic anhydride and a vinylaromatic compound, the or each cotelomer containing residues of maleic anhydride and of the vinyl-aromatic compound in a molar ratio of 1 : 20 to 1 : 2 and having an average molecular weight within the range of from 600 to 3000. In the examples the resin mixtures comprise unsaturated polyesters prepared from polyethylene terephthalate, maleic dibutyl ester and dimethyl propanediol or phthalic acid, maleic acid, diethylene glycol and triethylene glycol, styrene, dimethyl aniline, diethyl aniline, arenaceous sand, quartz powder, kieselweiss, titanium dioxide, a cotelomer of styrene and maleic anhydride and asbestos fibres and polymerized using benzoyl peroxide in a shrinkage beam.
