    Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a hardener for an epoxy resin system having good low- temperature properties, a low viscosity and no cloudiness and capable of providing a waterproof coating membrane by reacting an addtion reaction product of monohydroxy aromatic compound to a polyepoxide with amines. SOLUTION: This curing agent for an epoxy resin system comprises a reaction product obtained by reacting (A) a compound having one or more 1,2-epoxy groups per molecule in average obtained by heating (i) a polyfunctional epoxide having two or more 1,2-epoxy groups in a molecule with (ii) a monohydroxy aromatic compound in an inert gas atmosphere, with (B) amines. An especially advantageous constituent as the component (i) is a glycidyl ether of a novolak having at least two glycidyl ether groups. Phenol is preferable as the component (ii).     Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain the subject resin composition capable of developing excellent processability, storage quality, reactivity, flexibility, tear strength, adhesiveness, low-temperature elasticity and useful as an adhesive, etc., by formulating a reaction product of a specific epoxyamine adduct with a polyisocyanate.     Abstract: An epoxy resin composition is disclosed that contains compounds that contain at least two 1,2epoxide groups. The epoxide group-containing compounds are reaction products of compounds (A1) that contain at least two 1,2-epoxide groups per molecule, compounds (A2) that are polyoxyalkylenemonoamines that have a molecular weight of from 130 to 900 g/mol and, if desired, polyoxyalkylenemonoamines (A3) that have a molecular weight of from 900 to 5000 g/mol and/or polycarboxylic acids (A4). The resin composition additionally contains at least one hardener (B) and, if desired, customary additives (C).
