Abstract: PURPOSE: To provide a novel concentrated water-based emulsion by combining neophane and azaneophane having a wide range of insecticidal activity and low toxicity, with specified aliphatic alcohols, anion emulsifier and nonion emulsifier. CONSTITUTION: A concentrated water-based emulsion having an enough shelf life, excellent workability and use property is obtd. by incorporating neophane or azaneophane expressed by formula, wherein A, B are CH, N, CR4 ; X is CH2 , O, S; Y is CH, N; Z is H, F; R1 , R4 are H, halogen, (halo)alkyl, (halo) alkoxy, (halo)alkylthio or R1 and R4 may form -CH2 -OCH2 -; R2 is H, alkyl ethynyl; R3 is H, halogen, alkyl; M is C, Si. In this method, the concentrated water-based emulsion is obtd. by combination of an anion emulsifier and a nonion propylene oxide/ethylene oxide block alkoxylate with 12 to 14C aliphatic alcohol (especially isotridecanol is preferable) having a narrow distribution of homologs and low ethoxyl degree.

Abstract: Highly concentrated emulsifiable concentrates of compounds of the general formula I in which A and B independently of one another are CH, CR4, N, X = CH2, O, S, Y = CH, N, Z is H, F, R1 and R4 independently of one another are H, halogen, (C1-C3)-alkyl, (C1-C3)-haloalkyl, (C1-C3)-alkoxy, (C1-C3)-haloalkoxy, (C1-C4)-alkylthio, (C1-C4)-haloalkylthio or R1 and R4 together are -CH2-O-CH2-; R2 = H, (C1-C3)-alkyl, ethinyl, vinyl, halogen, cyano, R3 = H, halogen, (C1-C4)-alkyl, (C1-C3)-alkoxy and M = C or Si, characterised in that they contain a combination of an anionic and a non-ionic emulsifier with a (C2-C16)-alkanol, have not only a very good spontaneous emulsifiability but also a very good emulsion stability.

Abstract: Oil-in-water emulsions (microemulsions) which contain 0.01 - 80% by weight of at least one agrochemical active substance which is sparingly soluble in water, an active substance for combating pests in the domestic and hygiene sector, and/or a pharmacologically active ingredient, 1 to 30% by weight of an emulsifier mixture of non-ionic and anionic compounds and at least one salt of an alkylarylsulphonic acid as defined in the description, and water, and, if appropriate, 1 to 30% by weight of at least one organic solvent which is sparingly miscible with water and/or of a solubiliser, and, if appropriate, 0.05 to 15% by weight of additives, where the total of the components is in each case 100% by weight, a process for the preparation of these aqueous microemulsions, and their use.
